No single treatment is appropriate for all individuals. Effective treatment attends to multiple needs of the individual, not just his or her drug use.  Short term residential treatment combines intensive individual, group, and other behavioral therapies, along with medication for the best possible treatment results. Those addicted with co-existing mental disorders receive treatment for both disorders in an integrated way. Residential Treatment Program provides treatment of substance to individuals who are 18 years of age and older. The program is designed to serve individuals who have very serious substance abuse problems that require 24-hour care.

Remaining in treatment for an adequate period of time is critical for treatment effectiveness. For many, additional time in treatment is needed to solidify the gains made during early recovery.  Clients with a history of relapse or those needing improved coping skills often benefit from an extended treatment stay. Our separate Long Term Programs for men and women offer the additional time client’s need.

The detoxification program is for adults who meet medical / psychological screening criteria. The average length-of-stay of a detox admission is 3 to 5 days. If you have had a previous history of withdrawal from alcohol or drugs or are currently in withdrawal you will most likely be eligible for services. Medical detoxification is only the first stage of addiction treatment and by itself does little to change long term alcohol and drug use. Treatment following detoxification needs to be seriously considered

Outpatient therapy can allow a person to stay in their home and work or meet other obligations while participating in treatment. Outpatient treatment is usually a first step for individuals considering change or used as a follow-up to residential treatment. Outpatient treatment can be used to explore; the principles and assumptions behind getting sober or clean, the development of a cooperative client-therapist relationship, the establishment of long term goals, and the identification of any road blocks to change.

Our counselors, support staff, and managers all believe that long term recovery is possible. Treatment is based on the disease model of addiction; which reduces the shame that often is associated with addictive behaviors.

Treatment can occur in a variety of setting, in many different forms, and for different lengths of time. Because drug and alcohol addiction is typically a chronic disorder characterized by occasional relapses, a short term, one time treatment often is not sufficient. For many, treatment is a long term process that involves multiple interventions across a continuum of services.
